Biosketch

Dr. Sean P. Elliott, Professor (clinical scholar track, Department of Pediatrics, earned his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1993, and completed residency at Northwestern University School of Medicine, Pediatrics. Dr. Elliott is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatrics Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Until his appointment to the position of Interim Associate Dean, Dr. Elliott had served for the past several years as the Pediatrics Residency Program Director. He continues to serve as Medical Director of the Infection Prevention program at UA College of Medicine Tucson and Banner Univerity Medial Center Tucson and South campuses.

Research Focus

Medical education; infectious diseases; antimicrobial-resistant pathogens; congenital cytomegalovirus infection; cat-scratch disease
