Educational portfolios serve multiple purposes. They may guide your preparation for:

1) promotion and tenure;

2) seeking employment; and

3) identifying gaps in your teaching experience and areas in need of improvement. 

Dr. Elliott will outline the purpose and importance of creating an educator portfolio and discuss what counts as "teaching", "scholarship" and other categories of educator activities. He will connect these categories to the literature and offer advice on developing an educator portfolio, and how to make connections between your activities and UA Vitae.
